Brown Bag
This assignment was a bit of a challenge for me. I did multiple attempts and could not get what I wanted or achieve what I wanted to. I was so caught up in the every small wrinkle and color change I found I couldn't get past it. So in the end I stopped and looked at the big picture so to speak and tried not to over think it all.

Still Life with Value. I tried to show shadow. The light source was coming from the right upper side. You can see on the ball and cube the lighter shading.

Contour of lamp, table and chair with candle holder.

Contour drawing of the negative space-colored in. I found this interesting in that the details where lost from the above contour when the focus was on the negative space rather than the positive.

Week 3- Gesture Drawings
These were quick 1 minute poses. I was attempting to capture the fun the person posing was having.
This was hard for me. A contour line drawing where the cat was captured drinking out of the fish tank.
Quick one minute poses where the subject was showing different emotions.
I was trying to capture specific poses at soccer practice.
I was experimenting with mass and scribbling line for the background
